Scouting Report on Nate Britt.

The North Carolina Tar Heels are no longer in the market for a point guard in the class of 2013. Britts decision to pick UNC was a rather interesting one considering UNC signed Marcus Paige, the #1 PG in the nation to its 2012 class, but Britt says UNC was his dream school; "The thing I look forward to the most is probably playing with Marcus Paige," Britt said. "I feel like us two in the backcourt together could be great. When Coach Williams was at Kansas he had Kirk Hinrich and two other point guards and that was one of his better years at Kansas." Britt is known as a fantastic floor general that has a tremendous feel for the game, and is known as a "winner". Is a great passer, but could definitely improve on his shooting, but is improving both in that area, and in his scoring ability. Is pretty quick, but not a great athlete by any means. Although he doesn't exactly have a history of being a great scorer/shooter his latest performance at a prestigious tournament in the Gonzaga D.C. Classic would suggest otherwise. Britt posted a rather dominating 30 point 6 assist performance against elite level competition Friday night off of 12-19 shooting.

Britt could definitely add some muscle on his 6'1 155 pound frame, but that will come in due time. When he arrives in Chapel Hill in 2013 his role on the team could vary. Marcus Paige is a stud, and I dont foresee Britt competing for the starting PG job right off, but I could possibly see them working together in the backcourt as Strickland will be departing from campus upon his arrival. Britt will be a little different than what Carolina fans are use to seeing the past year or two. As Kendall Marshall will beat the defense with a great pass up court, Britt will beat you with speed in the mold of a young Ty Lawson, or Raymond Felton.
